You and your team, consisting of the leader Zebra, the muscle Stag, and the heart Marlin, have many obstacles to overcome. A reading based game for kids and adults, made in cooperation with Choice of Games LLC, that has gif images throughout. Choose from three classes: Fighter, Detective, or Jack of all Trades, buy weapons and ponchos, wage battle on a variety of enemies, and then lead Felipe Femur the introverted skeleton through a carnival, a haunted bathhouse, and through a creepy neighborhood for a night of tick-or-treating.

Felipe Femur: Postcards – Felipe Femur the skeleton is on a road trip with some of his monstrous best friends… and Joe Miller. Runny the witch, Sunny the sun-loving vampire, Gummy the toothless werewolf, and Melody the mute Banshee with her musical crab, Choral, are traveling with Felipe in his RV and they all hope to see what the west coast mortal world has to offer. Joe Miller has been invited as he’s the most down -to-earth, average guy that the rest of the crew knows, and they had hoped he might serve as a sort of a tour guide. Plus the guy can pitch in for gas and snacks.

Present Danger – With the clear and present danger of the holiday season—cut throat shoppers, deadlines, monsters—one can never be too prepared. Stock up on swords, boomerangs, and weaponized yo-yos this holiday season as you wage battle against the dangers presented to you in gift form: killer spiders, enraged elves, combative fruit cakes, and of course the fearsome Krampus. Strategize as you fight your way to victory on the score boards. Collect weapon stats or sell them for precious gold, being sure you’re always strong enough to defeat an endless stream of enemies. There’s no time like the present!

Digital Dreidel – Digital  Dreidel is perfect in a pinch! Say you forgot your real wooden dreidel at home–not a problem! Just pull out your phone or other mobile device and you’re ready to go with this electronic substitute. This 3D dreidel is also great for places where real spinning tops don’t fare well, such as in a car while driving, on a plane, or anywhere that’s without a stable, hard surface needed for traditional top spinning. Digital dreidel can be played silently or with fun music and sound effects. House Arrest – A forum, a finding, a fight for freedom. House arrest is a game that follows forum user ocTOPus-8, who is under arrest for trying to steal maracas for a birthday gift. Left alone over the weekend, ocTOPus-8 recruits the help of the other members of the forum Sleuths Without Suits to help solve a mystery. Alone, ocTOPus-8 explores home and a small perimeter, has conversations on the forum, and fights spirits during his nightly astral travels.

Rock, Paper, Wizards! – In Rock, Paper,  Wizards! players follow Oscar Burlin, a loving father and magician who lives modestly and literally pulls rabbits out of a hat to make ends meet.  At his daughter’s birthday party he provides the entertainment to save a buck, rather than hiring another entertainer.  Unfortunately, he is shamed and humiliated when his daughter and her friends claim he is not magician at all and is rather a hack who relies on cheap parlor tricks and a beautiful mustache to “entertain.”  Echoing in his head are his daughter’s words, “Mom, can we get a real magician?” Oscar is truly haunted by his spoiled daughter’s words, but rather than turn to bad habits, he decides to cope another way–by proving himself. In an effort to regain his daughter’s esteem, and prove to himself he’s a true wielder of magic, Oscar enters a contest of magic, the main event for the annual magical carnival: Magicians, the Gathering.

Using his power of split second foresight, Oscar plans to win the Rock, Paper, Scissor’s magic contest. With his trusty magician’s wand, lucky leprechaun shoes, and cape of compromise, Oscar joins the ranks of wizards, witches, and magical creatures all struggling for the title of best magic wielder in the world. How far up the ranks can he climb? The number of contestants seems endless, and seeing as it’s a magical contest, it could truly be never-ending, but Oscar will stop at nothing to be the best and make his embarrassing failure at his daughter’s birthday party all but disappear.

Scary Stories for Kids – Felipe Femur & Friends are back just in time for Halloween and the Day of the Dead! They’ve come prepared with three spooky, never before heard scary stories that both kids and adults will enjoy: Wet, toothless Mouths; The Cursed Can Opener; and Hungry! Hungry! In the Halloween Campfire Stories app, Felipe Femur the Skeleton, Gummy the toothless werewolf, and Sunny the sun-loving vampire each have a unique, scary story to tell around the camp fire and are more than happy to tell it again and again.

More friends are slated to join the campfire Halloween party at a later time (future updates with more scary stories) including Runny the sniffling witch.

The three current short scary stories range in size, as do the storytellers’ bodies, from Felipe’s brief, skeletal story, to Sunny’s slightly longer but still gaunt one, to Gummy’s plump tale of horror that’s sure to please kids who love to be afraid or to scare their friends. Each story comes complete with spooky sounds that are guaranteed to send shivers down listeners’ spines, and each is perfect for a scary night in or a spooky, scary camping trip out in the wild. For the best experience, gather around a campfire and read each scary Halloween story aloud.

Gummy’s Thanksgiving Feast – Gummy the toothless werewolf is back with a big appetite, just in time for an all-you-can-eat Thanksgiving feast. He’s recovered from his trip to the evil dentist Dr. Sweet Tooth, now hungrier than ever… and with a king complex. He wants to be served. As his attendant for the night, you need to help Gummy satisfy his hunger by feeding him whatever he desires. Feed him as much Thanksgiving turkey, ham, green beans, pumpkin pie, cranberry sauce, and corn as you can in 60 seconds in the Full Course mode, or try out the Selective Eater mode and feed him only green beans, being sure to avoid tapping any meat, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie, or corn.

With leadership boards soon to come, players can challenge friends and see who can stuff Gummy with the most Thanksgiving food in 60 seconds, as well as who can click the most vegetarian friendly green beans without tapping any other plates of food.

How to Play: both the Full Course and Selective Eater modes feature 5X5 tabletop grids of food on plates. In the Full Course mode of play, players are encouraged to tap the prompted type of Thanksgiving food–turkey drumsticks, ham, green beans, pumpkin pie, cranberry sauce, or corn–as fast as they can in the 60 second time limit. Gummy the werewolf will prompt players on what he wants popped into his mouth with a speech bubble, and the food will wiggle. Selective Eater on the other hand offers the unique challenge of having to click only green beans. No time limit will be given, but the game will be over if any other type of Thanksgiving food is clicked or if each individual course is not cleared within ten seconds. There are other customers to attend to, after all. No lollygagging. Eat, or beat it. Retry again and again for a better, higher score.

BLAME – Blame is a murder mystery game set in the strange town of Middlewillow, where everyone seems equally suspect. The game is a choice intensive, quirky RPG, under development by zebrafox.net, the studio that brought you Pac-man Pachinko and Zombie Diggers. I wrote the plot and the various alternate endings, as well as the dialogue for more than a dozen characters and various situations, and continue to co-direct as  the game development progresses, providing continued character development information and ideas for concept designs. Below are a couple concept-art stills of the protagonist, Clyde, and the first character he meets (Jazzlyn) when getting off the train that brings him into the strange town where the game’s events unfold. During a series of days, instances become accessible and are time sensitive, becoming inaccessible once more when the window has passed. This is illustrated in my blueprint for day one below. The green represent the accessible buildings and areas during the first day, and the red are the inaccessible areas. Writing the story, it became increasingly complex to navigate the narrative, given the web of directions each choice opens up. The ability for the gamer to make choices made the task of writing the script quite difficult, but I, and those at Zebra Fox Games, believe it will make the game more interesting and personable, as well and increase the playback value.

Write articles, character bios, and stories for the Felipe Femur website, a kid friendly hub where children can play fun and free games, print free bingo cards, word searches, hangman sheets, and coloring sheets, as well as read original stories written by yours truly. I also review kid movies, games, books, and music and give scores to help parents and kids decide on what to purchase, and write out step by step directions for crafts and desserts, such as Runny’s Pumpkin Cupcakes, and make your own maracas.

Created the logo for the business Startup K.A.K.E., a producer of  handmade soaps, candles, salt scrubs, lip balms, lotions, and an advocate for up-cycling. I also help with the KE line product photos, promotion, packaging, and occasionally product creation.
